Telerehabilitation
Remote physical therapy, wearables and digital health.
Telerehabilitation matured rapidly during the pandemic and is now sustained by validated digital therapeutics, wearables, and remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) reimbursement. The track will cover non-inferiority evidence for telerehab in stroke, total joint arthroplasty, and chronic low back pain; FDA-cleared digital MSK platforms (Hinge Health, Sword Health, Kaia Health); and AI-augmented home exercise adherence tools using smartphone pose estimation. Sessions will examine wearable IMU and EMG systems for remote gait and movement monitoring, asynchronous video assessment workflows, and the integration of CPT RTM codes (98975-98981) into outpatient rehab practice.
